A time-honored tradition is re-imagined with a fantastic blend of boisterous characters and over-the-top comedic action. A seemingly innocent tea party takes a turn for the dramatic when two imperious aristocrats suddenly find themselves competing for the affections of the same fair lady.
A Gentlemen’s Duel, is an inspired tale by Blur Studios knocking over audiences at festivals and generating talks with several Hollywood studios interested in developing the film into a feature.
They wanted to create a short that would please the fans of slammin’ giant robot action as well as fans of slapstick humor. Finding the right balance was the toughest nut to crack.
A very small skeletal crew worked on this film for over a year in between commercials, cinematics and effects work. Then they really went into full swing and produced the final over a six-month period, using software like 3ds Max, Digital Fusion, XSI, Brazil, Premiere and Photoshop
